Grand Rapids, Mich. – Nov. 6, 2017 – Inspired by its transition into brand-name oral care products to complement its national leadership in private label, Ranir opened a new wing of its headquarters aimed at creating and launching new products in a more collaborative, innovative way.
Ranir LLC, a leading global manufacturer of store brand oral care products and value branded oral care products under the Plackers and REMBRANDT trademarks, completed a 5,000-square-foot addition on the second floor of the company’s headquarters.
Ranir transitioned a factory-floor mezzanine into a new, innovation-inspiring workspace for more than 20 employees to meet the company’s current and future growth needs. The space is dedicated to the Company’s research and development (R&D), marketing and design teams and features an open concept with shared meeting rooms, enclaves, and a work lounge for staff to co-create and reenergize throughout the day. As a result of the expansion, the Company plans to add more than a dozen jobs to serve both its private label and branded businesses in the U.S. and abroad.
“At Ranir, we encourage cross-team collaboration and our customers and consumers demand it. This new space is a live laboratory for innovation and creativity specifically tailored to fit our evolving culture and business growth,” said Rich Sorota, president and chief executive officer of Ranir. “Since purchasing our corporate headquarters building last year, we have embarked on a multi-year path to make changes and improvements to both our manufacturing processes and the corporate office space to provide our employees with an engaging and inspiring work environment that allows us to attract and nurture top talent and bring the best products to the market.”
The buildout began in January 2017 as an initiative to improve flexibility and teamwork within Ranir. The space was intentionally designed to incorporate a contemporary and collaborative feel, stepping away from a traditional corporate cubicle. Many elements of the space – from artwork on the walls to the names on the conference rooms to the flow of the space – reflect input from the internal marketing and technical teams at Ranir.
