Rich Sorota joined Ranir in 2015 as President and CEO.
Rich is a global executive with proven general management, sales, marketing and product development expertise with a track record of leading customer/consumer driven businesses and transforming internally-focused companies into growing market driven organizations.
Most recently at American Capital, Rich was Managing Director responsible for driving growth at several portfolio companies including Halt Medical, Montana Silversmiths and Rug Doctor.
He has led many diverse businesses including, Old Spice, Philips Sonicare, Scotts Miracle-Gro and Bissell Homecare.
During his career, Rich has built deep global experience in establishing strategy and bringing innovative products to market. He has a passion for improving organizational performance, serving as a coach and change leader in companies with rich, entrepreneurial cultures.
Rich has a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a BA in Economics and Political Science from the University of Vermont.
Joseph Townshend joined Ranir in 1990 as Chief Financial Officer. Today, Mr. Townshend is a member of the Ranir Global Leadership Team and is responsible for operations, administration and product development.
Previously, Mr. Townshend worked in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP and Plante & Moran, LLP as an audit manager.
Mr. Townshend received his Bachelor of Science & Business Administration in Accounting from Aquinas College, Grand Rapids, Michigan. He has participated in various leadership programs, including the Chicago Executive Institute - The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Andre LeBaron joined Ranir in 2015 as CFO and is a member of the Global Leadership Team. In this role, Mr. LeBaron leads the global financial and IT groups at Ranir.
Mr. LeBaron has a proven track record of establishing sustainable management processes to maximize earnings and other internal benchmarks. Mr. LeBaron has more than a decade of store brand experience having spent over 12 years at Perrigo in progressively larger roles, including the CFO of the Consumer Healthcare division. He also spent several years at BDO in auditing.
Mr. LeBaron has a Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University in Accounting as well as his CPA and CISA.
Mike Young joined Ranir in 2003 as Vice President of Business Development. In his role, Mr. Young oversees leadership of the North American Sales and Trade Marketing team and is a member of the Global Leadership Team, which sets and oversees company-wide strategic planning and execution.
Mr. Young brings 30 years of domestic and international leadership in consumer packaged goods and health and beauty care to his position at Ranir. He has extensive knowledge of brand and store brand business, cultivated during his tenures with Johnson & Johnson and Weyerhaeuser/Paragon Trade Brands. Mr. Young received his Bachelor of Science in Finance at the University of North Alabama.
Greg McCormick joined Ranir in 2013 as Sr. Vice President of Marketing and Business Development and is also a member of the Global Leadership Team.
Mr. McCormick brings over 25 years of consumer packaged goods experience across Sales and Marketing in multiple Personal Care, OTC, and Beauty categories. He specializes in strategy development and building high performing teams and has a demonstrated track record of driving profitable growth at such global companies as Johnson and Johnson, Pfizer and Coca-Cola.
Mr. McCormick earned his MBA from Georgetown University and also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Studies from the University of Nebraska.
Stephen Thong joined Ranir in 2012 as Vice President - Global Technology & Development and is a member of Ranir's Global Leadership Team.
Dr. Thong's background includes over 20 years of international product development experience and possesses a strong background in powered toothbrushes, oral care, OTC, skin care and personal care products with the Gillette Company and most recently with the Church & Dwight Company. His professional experiences include developing new technology platforms and creating effective teams.
Dr. Thong received his Ph.D and Master's degree in Chemistry from Northwestern University and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Bowling Green State University.
Gijsbert Dezaire joined Ranir in 2011 as Executive Vice President of International Business at Ranir Global and Managing Director of Ranir Europe.
Mr. Dezaire's professional background includes more than 20 years of experience in global fast-moving consumer goods businesses. He developed solid experience at a strategic and operational level through his positions with large multinational branded companies, such as Unilever and Mars Inc., and with store brand companies, including American Safety Razor.
Mr. Dezaire holds a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Louvain and a Bachelors of Business Administration from Nijenrode University, the Netherlands.
Denise Phillips joined Ranir in 2009 as Senior Director of Human Resources. Ms. Phillips is also a member of the Global Leadership Team. She leads human resources for Ranir and focuses primarily on organizational effectiveness and talent development.
Ms. Phillips' background includes over 20 years of experience in consumer products with Kellogg Company and automotive parts manufacturer Denso, where she has held a variety of human resources positions.
Ms. Phillips received her Master's in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from State University of New York at Buffalo.
Michael Bregenzer joined Ranir in 2012 as its first General Counsel. Mr. Bregenzer is a member of Ranir's Global Leadership Team and acts as the principal legal advisor to Ranir. He also oversees all legal and regulatory matters. In 2013 Mr. Bregenzer added oversight of Quality to his role.
Prior to joining Ranir, Mr. Bregenzer was a partner at two of the world's largest law firms, with a practice focusing on intellectual property issues and complex litigation.
Mr. Bregenzer received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame.
